Jenn Nydahl has lived in the Gorge for five years and completed her training as a CASA volunteer in April 2025, when she was sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Her motivation for volunteering came from witnessing upheaval around the world and feeling powerless. She realized that becoming a CASA volunteer advocate was a meaningful way to take action and make a positive difference in the life of a child.

Hands down, the best part about being a CASA advocate is seeing the child every month. I think we both really look forward to these visits.

Columbia Gorge CASA is excited to welcome its newest CASA volunteers: Carl, Cheri, Deborah, and Rachel, along with new advocate supervisor Vandie Benson. The ceremony was officiated by Judge Olson, with AJ scheduled to be sworn in at a later date.
