The staff of Columbia Gorge CASA wants to express their gratitude for the program's outgoing Training Coordinator Michelle Mayfield, more fondly known as Mike.
Mike became first involved with CASA as a volunteer advocate in 2014. She advocated for six children during that time. In 2016, she was hired as the Training Coordinator for CASA. Mike was a perfect fit for this position, as she could use her professional background as a teacher and draw on her experience as an advocate to help prepare new volunteers.
For many of our nonprofit's volunteer advocates, Mike was the first person they met at CASA. In her role of onboarding and training new volunteers, Mike helped to prepare around 90 new volunteers for their role as advocates. With her support, these new recruits have gone on to advocate for the best interest of hundreds of children in need of a voice.
Thank you, Mike!
